IHRA Boosts 2025 Summit Team Finals Payouts to Over $55,000
HAMILTON, Ohio — The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) is doubling down on its support for grassroots racing with significant purse increases for the 2025 Summit Team Finals.
Top ET (Box) and Mod (No Box) winners will now take home $6,000 each, with runner-ups earning $1,500. Sportsman class winners will receive $4,000, while second place earns $1,000. Motorcycle and Junior Dragster champions will claim $3,000, with $1,000 going to the runner-up in each category.
Total event payouts will start in Round 4 and exceed $55,000 overall.
These boosted purses add extra excitement to the Summit Team Finals — high-energy events where drivers compete for individual division titles while representing their home tracks in a quest for team championships.
“Grassroots racers are the backbone of the International Hot Rod Association,” said IHRA President Rich Schaefer. “We’re proud to bring even more value to these events, which remain a favorite among our racers and tracks.”
The 2025 IHRA Summit Team Finals kick off August 21–23 at Humboldt County Dragway in Iowa.
